A Journey in Tailoring Excellence

 

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, I am proud to represent the third generation of a family of skilled tailors. My passion for tailoring began at an early age, surrounded by the traditions, techniques, and dedication passed down through my family.

Determined to further develop my craft, I trained in Italy, where I studied the European art of tailoring. This experience allowed me to combine time-honored Italian techniques with my family’s tailoring heritage, creating the foundation for the personalized craftsmanship I offer today.

In 2003, I moved to the United States and settled in Florida, where I initially studied English and architecture. However, my deep-rooted passion for tailoring ultimately led me back to my calling. I began building a career in the industry, working with distinguished clients and renowned retailers, including Bloomingdale’s.

In 2016, I relocated to the Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland area. There, I continued refining my craft while working with Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Louis Vuitton. These experiences strengthened my knowledge of luxury garment construction, precision alterations, and personalized client service.

​

I later expanded my experience into performance apparel innovation at UnderArmour, working in Innovation Prototyping and Product Development. In this role, I helped transform creative concepts into functional garment prototypes, collaborating on the construction, fit, and development of innovative performance products. This experience broadened my technical expertise by combining traditional tailoring methods with modern materials, advanced garment construction, and forward-thinking apparel design.

When the COVID-19 pandemic changed the way businesses operated, I adapted by opening a private home studio. This transition allowed me to continue serving my clients while expanding my services to include bridal and formalwear alterations, garment restoration and repurposing, luxury alterations, and custom-made menswear crafted from high-quality Italian and English fabrics.

As a traveling tailor, I also bring the fitting experience directly to my clients, meeting them in their homes or at their preferred locations for added convenience and privacy. Today, I serve clients throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York.

Through my nationwide mail-in alteration service, clients across all 50 states can send their garments to receive the same level of careful attention and craftsmanship. My website also features examples of my work and offers virtual consultations, making professional tailoring accessible to clients who may not have a trusted tailor nearby.
